- name
- The name of the ability.
- icon
- The icon associated with the ability.
- icon2
- The imperial icon associated with this ability, if different from republic icon.
- channel
- If the ability is channeled, enter the number of seconds.
- inst
- If the ability is instant, enter Yes.
- off-gcd
- If the ability is off-gcd, enter Yes. Requires
inst = Yes

- pass
- If the ability is passive, enter Yes.
- act
- If the ability is activated, enter the number of seconds.
- cool
- If the ability has a cooldown, enter the amount of time.
- cost
- If the ability has a force, energy, or ammo cost, enter the number.
- range
- If the ability is limited by range, enter the number.
- desc
- The description of the ability.
Notes
The template follows in-game tooltips very closely. However, the following parameters may need to be updated:
- Simplify/standardize image input and standardise to 36px
- Cast time (may be an alternative for act[ivation] parameter, as this is the in-game term eg visible on Quick Travel "cast")
- Duration if (de)buff effect or dot/hot; however, this is usually listed as raw text in-game.
The following information is currently unavailable as parameter types (2024):
- Combatstyle/advanced class, discipline requirements. Class (outdated?) for certain shared abilities? (eg resource mechanics like heat and energy have shared skills)
- Level unlocked ("Level Granted" ingame in the ability pane)
- counterpart name (eg Vital Shot vs Corrosive Dart)
- Possibly automate "Replaces X ability" (eg Flaming Fist says "Replaces Rocket Punch")
