Taxis are fast travel routes spread out through the world. Each taxi station has one or more linked stations you can travel to. Some zones have more than one taxi network (Dromund Kaas e.g.) A taxi can never move you to another planet. Taxi stations need to be registered on discovery to make them available for use from other taxi hubs. In game you must access the taxi Droids map to register its location on the network.
