Liam Dentiri is a Human Jedi that can be found on a platform near the entrance to the Jedi Temple, on the planet Tython. Dentiri has been charged with the responsibility of testing young Jedis' abilities to lead Republic military forces.
You must complete the quest The Path of a Jedi or Attack of the Flesh Raiders (the first quest you get when you start a new Jedi Councillor or Knight) and have the Show Exploration Missions box checked in order for Liam to talk to you.

Though the Treaty of Coruscant ensures a technical peace with the Sith Empire, the Galactic Republic recognizes the need to maintain a capable military force. Jedi are natural choices for command positions, and Liam Dentiri has been tasked with identifying candidates to fill these leadership roles.
